The trapezoid shaped Kettle is designed to hold small items however it can also open up to be a small bowl or lightweight tool holder.  Tabs can be added at each end of the zipper and add a chain loop for a petite bag. When closed, the Kettle measures 4 inches across the bottom, 2 1/4 inches across the top and 2 1/4 inches deep. It is fully lined with no exposed seams and features a clever technique to enclose the ends of the zipper.
 
This fun shaped pouch also has many other uses, including:

Hair Ties
Bobby Pins
Small electronics such as ear buds, SD cards and USB drives
Small childrens toy holder (eg. Shopkins or Lego)

The pattern piece can be enlarged according to your needs, just print at a larger percentage or take the regular size and enlarge it on a photocopier. Just remember to measure the top long edge of the pattern piece to work out the length of your zipper you'll need for the new size! The pattern is fat quarter friendly and is also a great scrap busting project.
